The first step is establishing if your goals are within our area of expertise and if the time frame is achievable with our current work schedule.
Option one is applicable to you if you’ve already engaged an architect to draw up your plans and require a quote.
Option two is relevant if you have an idea, but you’re unsure if it is doable or financially achievable.
We will meet you onsite to discuss the project and expectations in more detail. If you already have plans then we will look at the existing site conditions and accessibility and explain the benefits of using our third party estimating company to provide a full quantity estimate for your project. This provides extremely accurate pricing and provides you with a professional document to obtain finance from the bank.
If you don’t have plans, we’ll provide a basic price range based on the size and complexity of your project. This allows you to decide if you want to proceed further with your ideas.
We suggest a trusted architect or designer fit for you and your project, to achieve your vision. The concept plans can also be sent to the certifier so they can have a quick look over them and identify any possible issues (e.g. easements, sewer lines, maximum site coverage, etc.).
Through a third party estimating company a quick building estimate is done using the concept plans to ensure that the project will meet your budget.
The architect or designer will deliver a full set of construction plans and from those plans the structural engineer will develop construction plans.
The same third party estimating company will then provide a full quantity estimate which is the basis for our fixed price contract and finalising your finance with the bank.
We take the time to sit down with you to go through the entire contract, ensuring you feel comfortable and understand everything before signing.
A private certifier will submit the construction and engineering plans to council, ensure that all relevant lodgement fees and insurances are paid and issue a building approval to proceed if everything complies to council regulations.
We’ll establish a start date for the project based on our current work commitments. If you’re living offsite, we’ll set up your portal in the Buildertrend app so that you can follow how we progress via daily logs, photos and the construction schedule.
The physical work begins! During renovations, we’ll section off the area of new work to maintain convenience and safety for you and your family. You’ll also be able to witness the progress first hand while living in the comfort of your home.
For new builds or if you’re not living on the property during construction, you can still remain up-to-date with the Buildertrend portal or App.
Aaron will personally walk through the newly completed work to identify any workmanship that does not meet our high standards. However, if any issues do arise, these are normally identified earlier and rectified beforehand.
All projects are professionally cleaned on completion and then we’ll do a walk through with you to ensure you are satisfied. Any defective work is fixed and then the project is yours!
We provide a 2 year warranty on our workmanship which is double the required 12 month statutory warranty. There is also a 6.5 year structural warranty period.
If something does go wrong we are just a phone call away to ensure it is resolved as soon as possible.
